Contract brewing from 1000 liters
In our brewery, in addition to brewing beers for De Magistraat, we also regularly brew beers for third parties. These include recipes from beer brands without their own facilities, house beers for bars and restaurants, or anniversary beers for companies. We according to the following principles:
- The minimum volume is 10hl (1000 liters), but 15hl is more economical
- We provide a clear quote in advance with cost prices and our margin
- We are responsible for the payment of excise duties
- The beer can be bottled in longneck (33cl), BNR (30cl), 75cl bottles and/or kegs
- The bottles are labeled with your own design and packed in boxes
- We create a new recipe for each beer and do not work with white-label beers
- Fast delivery, usually within 4-6 weeks

The process
Step by step we create your beer1. Recipe
Together we develop the recipe for your beer on our system. We use your recipe as a starting point if you already have one, or a beer that already exists. Not sure what you're looking for yet? No problem! Léon will taste together with you to find what suits your brand or occasion.2. Quote
Once the recipe is developed, you will receive a quote including ingredient and packaging costs, equipment usage, and a clear margin. After approval, we require full payment before the brewing day. Deviations can be discussed.3. Brewing and packaging
The beer is brewed and packaged. You are welcome to attend and assist on both days if you wish. Want to taste during the process? Feel free to stop by! You can experience the flavor of fermenting beer (tip: it's usually better to wait a bit longer).4. Delivery and final calculation
After packaging, we arrange delivery. You can organize transport yourself, or we can have our carrier deliver the beer on pallets to your location. Afterwards, we settle any volume differences based on the agreed prices in the quote. This may result in an additional payment or a refund.
Frequently asked questions
Is anything still unclear?
Can I brew by myself / alone on your system?
No, you will always brew together with Léon. Even experienced brewers sometimes need months to learn a new system. To prevent unsafe situations, everything is done under Léon’s supervision. You can of course assist with milling, removing spent grain, adding hops, and cleaning. What if the beer is not exactly what I expected?
Brewing beer is precise work, but also partly nature. There are many variables that affect the final taste. With new recipes or recipes from other systems, the outcome is never fully predictable. It will always be very tasty, but fine-tuning usually happens in the second batch. That’s the magic of brewing. Léon continuously tweaks recipes for our own beers, and we expect you will want to refine yours after the first batch as well.Do you have other questions? Feel free to contact us!
